Independence Day Celebration

Dupont Circle - Capital Pride Parade

Each year, in the month of June, the Capital Pride Parade attracts over 200,000 spectators annually and includes more than 170 contingents-floats, vehicles, walkers, entertainment and much more. People from a variety of backgrounds participate in this annual event. The review stand is located at 15th and P Streets, NW; and another announcement stand is located just east of Dupont Circle on New Hampshire Avenue. The 9:30 Club is located on the corner of 9th and V St., NW and is home to different genres of entertainment and variety shows. Most shows are standing room only, unless advertised as seated and the venue is home to all-ages shows also. Food and drinks are also available for purchase inside the venue.
